Ever look at a wildly successful product or service and think, “I thought of that!” 🤔
The difference between dreaming and achieving? Action. And it often starts with simply asking and saying "Yes" more.

Did you know a 12-year-old Steve Jobs cold-called Hewlett-Packard’s co-founder asking for spare parts? That bold move led to an internship and, eventually, a legacy that changed the world.
In High School, comedy nerd Judd Apatow applied for a dishwashing job at his local comedy club. With the dishes came free stand-up comedy viewings, and the opportunity to interview his heroes, stand up comedians! Judd then went on to write, direct, and produce some of the biggest comedy films to date!
What each has in common is they went beyond their private passion as soon as they possibly could. They both asked questions of who they saw as leaders in the fields they wanted to break into. What followed was years of steady effort and, I’m sure, learning from success and failure.
Identify your passion. Write about it. Feel it. See it. Taste it. What does it look like when successful people are doing it? Not sure? Ask them. Don’t be surprised who would pick up the phone. Jobs agrees, "I’ve never found anybody that didn’t want to help me if I asked them for help. Most people don’t get those experiences because they never ask."

A client I coached had a full time job and wanted to break into the entrepreneurial space. Other than attending networking events, where I met him, he had not acted on any ideas to move in that direction. In just 3 months with me he had connected with an inventor to help with organizing his operations and investor outreach. He also met a VC group that added him to their list of support partners to share with their founders. The client, while not seeing a clear action to take like Jobs or Apatow knew enough to start asking. Email me about the ideas still in your head that are going to change the world. Let's do something with them! Your breakthrough could be one brave question away.
